Chicago's Dog House | Our Story

Lincoln Park Roots
Chicago's Dog House opened in Lincoln Park in 2009 with a simple conviction: honor the city's hot dog heritage, then push it somewhere nobody expected. We're still doing exactly that.

Established in 2009
We planted our flag on Fullerton Ave in the heart of Lincoln Park — where Chicago's hot dog culture gave us the foundation, and big plans gave us the direction.
The Chicago standard
All-beef frank, poppy seed bun, dragged through the garden: mustard, relish, onions, tomato, pickle spear, sport peppers, celery salt. We do it right every time — no shortcuts, no ketchup.

Beyond the classic
Apple Brandy Duck, Smoked Alligator, Wagyu Jalapeño & Cheddar, rattlesnake and rabbit — the gourmet lineup keeps even the most adventurous eaters guessing. Tradition is the starting line, not the finish.
The Dog House Originals
Celebrity dogs like the Obama Dog and the Blagojevich (guilty on one account with ketchup) round out a menu with real personality.

Something for everyone
The Doghouse Original Burger, BBQ Bacon Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Italian beef, and vegetarian options mean the whole crew eats well. Classic, adventurous, or somewhere deliciously in between.
